Details of Photography Work you can Submit

Bird Watcher’s Digest focuses on the pictures of birds, nontraditional shots, including images of birds captured during unusual behavior or settings. For their species profiles of birds, they look for more traditional images: sharp, well-composed portraits of wild birds.

How to Submit your Photos?

If you would like to be considered for the Bird Watcher’s Digest’s pool of “want list” photographers, please prepare a website of 20 of your best bird or birding photos, and email a cover letter requesting such consideration and including the URL of the site you have prepared to bwd@birdwatchersdigest.com.

Provide a captions for each photo, identifying the species or the activity and the location where the photo was captured.

Payments you can Expect

Bird Watcher’s Digest pays $75.00 per image used regardless of size. They pay an additional $25 for images which are also used on their table of contents page. They pay and additional $50 for each photo published that accompanies an article written by the photographer.
